Remodeling the front entrance

In order to make the yard as easy to maintain in our absence we made some changes. Among them was to replace the roses by the front entrance with lawn. Running sprinkler lines, leveling the area (after Dorothy removed and washed all the rocks) was quite the task even though the area looks small. After the new lawn was in Lily and Andy had great fun playing on it.

Pictures of Timpanogas

Dorothy has enjoyed taking pictures of Mt. Timpanogas from our front driveway. Here are a couple of the different scenes.

Jessie's Birthday

The family got together for the traditional first Sunday meal. We had a simple meal of
spaghetti and salad. Since Jessie's birthday was in six days we took advantage of that and had a celebration for her. Lisa made an apple crisp (Jessie's request) and a chocolate fudge (lava type) cake. We sang to her and she blew out the two star shaped candles.

More photos from the June 14th family gathering

The week of June 10-17 marked the most family we've had gathered together in quite a while. Five of our eight children and twelve of our twenty two grandchildren were here. What fun! We celebrated our youngest grandson's third birthday during that time.

Our son-in-law, Peter Young, graduated from UFA fire academy this Friday. Now he has a month of advanced paramedic training before being assigned to a station.

Now the boysenberries have passed the blossom stage and are getting ripe! YUM
